The Olympic Medicine is one of the seven programs in an academic year as guided by Vietnamese Central Students’ Association. Besides, the students’ activities of creative studying and science research have developed in both quality and quantity through years. Over the past 3 years, the annual Olympic has become an useful academic playfield which creates a healthy environment for students. In 2017 with the agreement of Communist Committee, the Managing Board of TBUMP, Vietnamese students’ Association holds the 4th annual Olympic Medicine with the theme of Pharmacy in order to inspire creativity and studying of students, especially in studying Pharmacy and focusing on medicine usage and clinical treatment. The qualifying round attracted 70 students from 23 Students’ Association of classes and the Organizing Committee has selected 12 outstanding students divided into 3 teams to compete in the final round.
The colorful performances at the beginning of the program were like a fresh welcome to encourage the teams and players. The introductions of each team was very interesting with cheerful and creative novelettes and videos. The contest with 4 sections: Start, Barrier crossing, Speed up, and Finish brought about a lot of excitement to viewers. The questions include general knowledge, good content and the clinical cases integrated in the questions posed a lot of challenges for the teams and players to be able to work out the best answer. Members of 3 teams performed bravely, confidently and were highly appreciated by the Consulting Committee.
The vibrant contest has gone to an end but it continues to affirm the prestigious and reputational position which could meet the aspiration of members of Ho Chi Minh Youth Union, Vietnamese Students’ Association of TBUMP. The success of this 4th contest helps to reach the goal of the school year. This is also a meaningful, realistic activity to welcome Vietnamese Teacher’s Day on November 20th and 10th anniversary of establishment of Pharmacy Faculty of TBUMP.
