INSTRUCTIONS ON THE MOVEMENT OF “STUDENTS OF FIVE MERITS” FOR FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS

Under the guidance of the Secretariat, Mr. Pham Quy Trieu, Member of the Secretariat, Vice Chairman of the Examination Committee of the Youth Union, introduced and launched the movement of Students ofFive Meritsto the comrades attending the program. He introduced the process of development of the campaign from the National Congress of the Vietnam Students’ Association in 2009.
After 8 years of nationwide implementation on the Students' Associations, there were  thousands of elite students who are commended for Students of Five Merits at all levels, the January Star Awards. With the aim of building a healthy school environment, promoting students' activeness, orienting to build an advanced students collective. Over the last few years, the Vietnamese Students’ Association of Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy has been active in spreading the movement to all of its member associations. Since 2013 to now, there have bên 02 students winning the January Star Awards from the Central Vietnamese Students’ Association, 111 students winning  the title of Students of Five Merits at the provincial level, 325 students winning the title of Students of Five Merits at the school level.

Vice Chairman of the Youth Union Inspection Committee had the specific guidance on criteria for judging Students of Five Merits at all levels. Based on the actual images, the citation of evaluating regulations, Comrade recommended capturing specific information on the standards:  good morality, good learning, good fitness, good skills, good integration. The title of Students of Five Merits has the great significance to acknowledge the efforts of students in their training and studying, thereby there is contribution to build a new generation of young people with solid professional knowledge, being rich in compassion and willing to contribute to the development of the country.
