CONFERENCE ON IMPLEMENTING THE SCHOOL YEAR OF 2017 - 2018

On the afternoon of August 17, 2017, at the Great Hall, with the consent of the Standing Committee of Thai Binh province Youth Union, the Party Committee of the Board of Management of Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy, the Youth Union and Students’ Union held a conference to implement tasks for the school year 2017 - 2018.
The conference was attended and directed by Pham Hung, Member of the Executive Committee, Head of School Youth Union of Thai Binh Province Youth Union, Teacher of Merit, Associate Professor Nguyen Quoc Tien, People’s Doctor, Associate Professor Nguyen Thanh Binh as the Standing Party Committee Member and the Trade Union Chairman, together with the participation of former secretaries and deputy – secretaries of the Youth Union, former presidents of the Students' Union, members of the Executive Board of the Youth Union and the Students' Union, the secretaries of the union branches, the heads of Students’ Unions, Board of Chairmen of 17 clubs, teams and affiliates and the youth union members who have received certificates of merit in 2016 - 2017 school year.
Comrade Trịnh Thành Vinh, Secretary of the Youth Union, Chairman of the Students' Union reported the results of the school year 2016 - 2017 and deployed the main tasks in the school year 2017 - 2018 including 01 topic and 07 action programs. The subject of the school year was "Improving the quality and developing the organization of the Youth Union, Students’ Union of Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy".
At the conference, the Student Union Secretariat was honored to announce the commendation of the "Excellent Unit in the Union work and Student Movement for 2016 - 2017" of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Student Union. At the same time, the Organizing Committee presented the medal for the young generation of the Central Youth Union to Mr. Vu Dinh Luong, former Secretary of the Youth Union, Former President of the Student Union, awarded certificates to 5 students who won the high prizes at the first Provincial 2017 English Olympic of the Vietnam Student Union. The Student Union Secretariat awarded certificates of merit to the five winning members in the Volunteer Diary Competition in 2017. The Executive Board of the University Youth Union awarded certificates of merit to the 166 members with many achievements in the youth union work and the youth movement in 2016 - 2017.
Comrade Pham Hung, Member of the Executive Committee, Head of School Youth Union of Thai Binh youth union made his speech at the conference. He acknowledged the excellent results achieved by the Executive Board of the Youth Union and the Student Union in the 2016-2017 school year. To be consistent with the 2017 - 2018 school orientation programs, the delegate of the provincial youth union suggested that the unit should continue to consolidate the professional skills of the union staff at all levels, promote the activities of supporting the union members to contribute creatively to the country development, especially emulate the achievements to welcome youth union conferences at all levels and head to the 11th National Youth Union Congress.
Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Tien, the Party Committee Member and Vice Rector of the University acknowledged and appreciated the achievements of the Youth Union and the Student Association. He showed his happiness that over the years, the Union Association had grown up with many creations and innovations in implementing activities of training and educating the union members. The vice rector emphasized that strengthening ethics education and lifestyles for union members, developing learning movements, conducting scientific research, promoting learning and practicing foreign languages in students is a very important and focal task so that the young generation catch up with the process of changes, integrating deeply with countries in the world. He suggested that the Student Union pay more attention to the activities of the Cambodian People's Republic, the Lao People's Democratic Republic and the Republic of Mozambique. He expressed his gratitude to the leaders of the province youth union for their support during this time. The Party Committee and the Board of Management would always support and facilitate the organization of the Youth Union, promote their role of leading, creativity, and together with teachers to successfully complete the tasks of 2017 – 2018 school year.
