“CAREER ORIENTATION FOR PHARMARY STUDENTS” PROGRAM

On the afternoon of January 19th 2019, at the Great lecture hall, with the agreement of TBUMP’s Managing Board, TBUMP’s Youth Union and Students Association in collaboration with Pharmacy Faculty held “Career orientation for Pharmacy students” program with the participation of the speaker Tran Hoang Nguyen Khanh – lecturer of Pharmacy Department of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, who has lots of working experience in multinational pharmaceutical companies like Servier, MSD, Novartis, Vinfa, etc.
The program had the participation of Ms. Ha Thi Thu Hien – Deputy secretary of TBUMP’ s Youth Union, Ms. Lai Thi Van – Vice head of Pharmacy Faculty, Nguyen Van Binh – Vice president of TBUMP’s Students Association, members of the TBUMP’s Youth Union and Students Association Executive Board and 300 Pharmacy students.
At the program, Speaker Can Hoan Nguyen Khanh shared with students 4 issues. At first, he introduced the jobs of pharmaceutical representatives at multinational pharmaceutical firms. This is an important part that provides necessary information about necessary skills, requirements for the jobs; how to become an experienced pharmaceutical representative; or difficulties and challenges in this job especially with the newly graduated pharmacy students.
The next parts were: career developing path – different directions after becoming a pharmaceutical representative; Pharmaceutical representatives’ management; and Products management.
During the program, the speaker often raised questions to help students understand the job of a pharmaceutical representative better and also answered students’ questions and concerns about the job.
The last part was an exciting online game for students attending the program.
“Career orientation for pharmacy students” program ended with cheerful and exciting feelings. The program not only helped students have an overview of the work of a pharmaceutical representative but also helped students to have their own orientations and plans for future work. It really provided students with necessary and helpful information, especially in the present time when finding a job after graduation is a big concern for students and parents.
In the coming time, TBUMP’s Youth Union would continue to consult TBUMP’s Managing Board about organizing more programs of orienting jobs and introduce job positions for students ./.
