THE LAUNCHING CEREMONY OF THE “GREEN SUNDAY 2017”

On the morning of 20th August 2017, at ThaiBinh University of Medicine and Pharmacy (TBUMP), Central Committee of Vietnamese Students’ Association organized the launching ceremony of “The Green Sunday 2017”.

The program had the attendance and direction of Mr. Hoang Minh Son, Deputy Director of Department of Policy and Legal Affairs of Vietnam Environment Administration, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment; Mr. Nguyen Thien Tu, Deputy Head of Board of School Youth of Central Union, Member of the Secretariat of the Central Vietnamese Students’ Association, Director of Center for Support and Development of Vietnamese Students; Mr. Nguyen Ba Cat, Deputy Chief of Office of Central Vietnamese Students’ Association; Asscociate Professor Nguyen Duy Cuong (MD), Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice-Director of ThaiBinh University of Medicine and Pharmacy; members of the Standing Committee of the university’s Youth Union, the Secretariat of TBUMP Students' Association and more than 200 union members and students of TBUMP.

At the program, the Steering Committee presented gifts to team leaders of the volunteer groups participating in the “Launching ceremony of the Green Sunday 2017”. After the launching program, the volunteers participated in cleaning the streets of Thaibinh city, collecting garbages and clearing weeds around Thai Binh Children’s Hopital. Meanwhile, students attended the training class to raise environmental awareness, which was guided by Mr. Hoang Minh Son, Deputy Director of Department of Policy and Legal Affairs of Vietnam Environment Administration, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
