THAI BINH UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE AND PHARMACY HELD VOLUNTEER BLOOD DONATION DAY – 11th “RED SUNDAY” 2019

11^th “Red Sunday” 2019 and 6^th time one in Thai Binh was held by Tien Phong Press, National Traffic Safety Committee, Medical Services Administration (Ministry of Health), National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, National Volunteer Blood Donation Steering Committee and TBUMP, Thai Binh University, Thai Binh Communist Youth Union, Thai Binh Youth Association, Thai Binh Red Cross, Thai Binh Department of Health, Thai Binh General Hospital.   The event was held with the target of supplying blood for emergency and treatment during Tet Holiday 2019, promoting frontier role, volunteer for society among the staff and students of TBUMP. TBUMP’ Communist Party Committee -Administrators guided Union, Youth Union planning for propaganda and holding the event. From 6:30, despite of cold weather, staff and students attended and  registered for blood donation.
On behalf of TBUMP’ Communist Party Committee –Administrators, People’s teacher, Assoc. Prof. Hoang Nang Trong recognized the well preparation of Holding Committee from blood donation to propaganda work. He also encouraged volunteer and young lecturers participating actively in the event. With the humanity meaning, supplying blood for health’s work in Thai Binh especially for upcoming Tet Holiday, he asked Youth Union continue to express frontier and volunteer spirits, be ready for taking care of social health, develop blood donation movement in quality, quantity, result that bond to TBUMP’s specific major  
In a meaningful morning, there were 780 blood units received, took 11, 4% of given target which contributed to the success of “Red Sunday” event in Thai Binh specifically and across nation generally Specially, before the “Red Sunday” event was held in TBUMP, with the propaganda effort to TBUMP’s students and creating a playground for students. TBUMP’s Youth Union and Students Association guided Students Volunteer Blood Donation Movement Club holding 2 contests: drawing contest “Love Color” and fashion designing contest “Blood Fashion” about blood donation. Both contests drew attention from students and received many quality works, contributing in propaganda action to the biggest blood donation day of the year. During the day, the holding committee presented and announced to everyone the outstanding works from contestants. All the ideas were highly rated creating a positive effect to the success of the event.
   
“Red Sunday” is a meaningful event that help to motivate people, staff, Youth Union‘s members, youths, students take part in blood donation to prepare enough blood for treatment and emergency – which is always short during Tet Holiday. Red Sunday with the message “Share blood - give hope” had clarified the responsibilities of organizations, units, individuals to the health of the society. With enthusiasm, responsibility for society, staff and students of TBUMP always contribute to the developing of blood donation movement. TBUMP’s Youth Union and Students Association determinate together with nationwide youths to raise the Vietnamese Youth pioneer; volunteer spirits, deservedly future owners of the country
